Workshops and Engagement

As a practising artist with many years experience, I really enjoy engaging people from all backgrounds and ages in creative, hands-on activities. I'm particularly interested in both the dynamic and intricate elements of landscape and form through experimental and open-ended drawing, painting, printing-making, construction and assemblage. Basically any making - or fiddling about to try and make something. And I'm happiest when facilitating and supporting activities where the learner is at the heart of their learning experience, which I think, makes for a better experience for them. Please contact me with any workshop ideas or enquiries you have - I'm happy to work in almost any setting or space, indoors or out.

For further information of current after school and summer workshops for children, and the new evening drawing club for adults, starting on 13 July, please go to the News section and/or also my Amanda Thesiger Art Workshops facebook page or contact me . I am DBS checked and can send details of this as well as my PLI. I risk assess every workshop unless its at your setting.

Over the last two years, I have helped to develop two arts projects from scratch. The Tea Trolley Laboratory and Outdoor Studios For information about these, please go to the Links section
I have also been involved in a great pilot project, Zest Thanet. This participatory arts programme delivered by Bright Shadow for people with dementia and their carers living in Thanet came to an end in 2016 but will return again this year.
